Quality Control Capabilities

Quality is central to our operation at Cold Saw Precision. We have delivered zero ppm defects to our customers for two years running. Our major customers often cite us as “Best in Class” and/or the “Benchmark” for their material processors. 

Our Quality Management System is certified to the ISO 9001 (without design) standard.  We have incorporated elements of APQP product launch planning into our Quality Management System where appropriate.
 
Our QMS establishes processes for non-conforming product control, preventive action, corrective action, continuous improvement, document control and production planning.   Our system includes:

• Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan (APQP)
• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP )
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)

Information and Communication Capabilities

We have constant internet access to facilitate communications with our customers, (DSL and a dial-up account as backup), e-mail capabilities, and Internet Explorer 6 with 128-bit encryption. For customers that request it, we also establish communication via AIAG X-12, XML, and/or web services.
 
We support our production facility with custom inventory control software that we can easily adapt to the specific tracking and barcode labeling requirements of our customers. This software allows us to track our inventory by bundle, lot, or other unit. On-hand bar inventory, quantity ready to ship and quantity shipped can be reported to our customers at any moment.
