Tom Despres, President and Founder, has been a tenured Professor of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Michigan—Dearborn.  He has consulted to numerous companies on product safety and process improvements, including customers in the forging industry.  Now full time president of Cold Saw, he has overseen its growth and continues actively directing its operations.  He has a BSIE, an MSME and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Ray Despres, Vice President, brings depth of experience in operating and financial management.  He was instrumental in the early stages of Cold Saw Precision’s growth.  He has led companies in the metalworking and other manufacturing industries, and has expertise in general management, finance, quality systems, and shop-floor operations. Ray assists with Cold Saw’s special project development. Ray has a BA from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Denise Despres,  Technology Consultant, develops software to integrate Cold Saw’s quality, financial and inventory systems. She previously developed corporate systems and databases at Arthur Andersen and a marketing research firm. She has a BS and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS degree in Information Technology from DePaul University.
